Paws Up For Pets - History & Experience
As the owner and founder of Paws Up for Pets, my passion for animals has been a constant since my childhood on a farm in rural Connecticut. Surrounded by numerous cats, dogs, and even a few horses, our small farm experienced a significant increase in animal population, reaching around 70 cats and dogs at its peak. People would often drop off their pets at our farm, and we would take care of them. However, to manage the growing number of animals, we eventually had to take the step of fixing the pets, which helped to control the population and maintain a more reasonable count. After I graduated from college, I decided that it was time to have a pet of my own and that is when I got my first true pet, Opie the Redbone Hound Dog. After his 14 + years, I decided to go the way of the mighty feline and since then, I have had many kitties in my life. Although I only have one kitty now, Scouty, I feel grateful that I have so many animals in my life. 🐾
